1960's Vintage Dress form found in a local antique shop. Stained canvas over molded plaster body, hammered iron dress cage. Dress forms are used to simulate the shape of someones body in a given position that allows as seamstress to create a outfit out of different materials over the course of production time. Older models like the reference where designed to expand as needed, brackets and twist screws are used to hold the tighten the forms placement. The metal cage expands into a long bell shape to allow the crafting of skirting for dresses.
*Originally owned by a lady in her 80's who used it to make clothing for her 3 children and 4 grand kids.*
